This is our first winter in our apartment so we have been working hard to make our house cozy and comfy for just the two of us.
Quite different from our all the years we lived by our families…
The spirit of Christmas really came over me so we decided to make a list of activities that we wanted to start.
We made lots of treats, decorated our place, bought a snowy white Christmas tree and warmed our hearts cuddled on the couch with Christmas movies.
There were tons of baking & cooking, some shopping and a lot of relaxing…
Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day we’ll be spending with my family.
I’m planning a fantastic meal to make for them…
I am very thankful that we will have the whole day tomorrow to spend together.
Blessings to you and your family this Christmas and this coming year!
Hope you all are having a lovely Holiday so far.
Someone once said that your Christmas tree is a reflection of your personality…
So this year we decided to make a project and decorate our tree with traditional ornaments such as gingerbread cookies.

Project like this one costs next to nothing and is super fun and easy to make.
These are completely edible sugar cookie ornaments and they smell yummy just like Christmas.
My better half and I had a very nice time making these together over the weekend.
We added some simple white ribbon and they now hang beautifully on our Christmas tree…
Few days ago I made a fun butterfly punch art project which turned out so beautifully.
It’s fun, easy and inexpensive.

For this project I used a colorful scrapbook paper, glue dots and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
There`s a wide variety of different styles and prints of scrapbook paper you could use. Another great idea is to use photos from old magazines…
You can also add a 3D glue dots to create a depth and dimension.
I seriously love this project so much that I think I’m going to recreate something similar for my bedroom.
This one will be placed in my dinning room.
A few weeks ago I have ordered a holiday wreath from Etsy.com but It still hasn`t come so I had to figure out something else asap.
At Madiganmade I saw an incredibly great project which inspired me to make a similar one myself.

This glamourous Christmas ball wreath is very simple and everyone can do it.
I used this tutorial to create it.
Whatever type of unique Christmas ornaments you decide to use they will add a festive flair wherever displayed.
Use it above a mantel or hang it on your doors for beauty, color and cheer.
Be the envy of all the nighborhood!
Yay for Christmas!
Althought restricted in size due to a small space our conservatory is a true extension of our home.
This mini room sorrounded by high daylight and filled with a variety of exotic plants and lush greenery is our green oasis that we can enjoy all year round.
A room this size contains a small table and chairs for two, few benches for raising our plants and tall plants that are reaching the ceiling.
With a middle-range heating level our green room allows us to raise herbs, leafy greens, succulents…

While deciding the purpose of this extra room we came up to decision we want to create a nice place to have a cup of coffe and relax with a drink or book.
With a fairly neutral colour scheme and by adding a traditional style this room became our personal refuge.
This saturday morning brought us a beautiful weather…perfect for enjoying quiet and calm walk around the paths of park Maksimir, our green oasis in the middle of the town.

Park Maksimir is one of the most beautiful tourist spots here in Zagreb. It was established at the end of the 18th century thanks to the Zagreb´s Bishop Maksimilian Vrhovec who decided to turn the oak woods, used at that time for timber and hunting, into a park and give it to the citizens of Zagreb. Maksimir was the first public park in Europe and a grand cultural undertaking filled and surrounded with beautiful lakes, streams and grean meadows.
Park contains also attractions like numerous monuments, pavilions and a couple of little cafes.

Maksimir is a huge park-forest so it took us time to reach some spots but the journey was definitely worth it.

After a long time not seeing it I was amazed by the difference especially on this gorgeous sunny day at full autumn blossom.

If you are an observing type of person, fond of nature, or just looking for hideaway from the sun, Maksimir is a great place to visit and a recipe for peace and tranquillity.
A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to attend the annual Apple Fair held in my husband´s hometown.
Growing apples has been part of his familly culture and heritage since ever.

They grow a variety of chemical-free organic apples such as Rome, Golden Supreme, Ginger Gold, Fuji and Granny Smith.

This small event was celebrating different varieties of apple during the peak of their season and was a great way to get-together and promote not only a freshly picked apples but also other wonderful home made products such as plum brandy, apple cider, honey mead…
We were also able to meet other apple growers and to taste goodies such as caramel apple, fried apple pies, funnel cakes and fresh squeezed lemonaid.
The annual fair took place in the wine cellar of the old manor Golubovec.

Although the castle is in the phase of revitalisation and renovation at the moment,
the atmosphere was ideal for experiencing the feeling of an old time country gathering.
Recenly I have caught myself wearing a piece of jewelry or two over and over again. Those pieces work with the most of my wardrobe, matches my clothes and reflects my personal style.
While selecting my signature jewelry pieces I`ve chose the kind that won`t get worn out easily or become boring.
Wearing a formal outfits consist of just one or two colors, such as black or white may sometimes seem a bit boring, but combined with the right pieces of jewelry your outfit can become extremely classy and sophisticated. Adding a jewelry accessories can be a great way to create a dressy look out of your casual style. It can add a versatile feel to many different looks.
At the begining of the year I received a small gift from a business partner, a lovely organizer / calendar book published by Sensa magazine which I keep in my purse ever since.
This week-a-view planner is small but yet portable with plenty of room to plan, provides a space for notes and addresses, each side is personalized with lovely prints and peacefull thoughts…

My Sensa planner is sort of a diary and planner both in one, its more than a classic organizer.
It is an inspiring book that respects your business obligations and nurture your feelings.
My parents were always a type of hard working people.
They grew up in a small rural place surrounded by endless fields and after years spent in a combo desire to have a piece of a country land their own grown each day that was passing by.
They accomplished their dream in the early 90s when they got the opportunity to buy a small country house situated just 15 km away from the center of Zagreb.
Placed on the picturesque hills above Zagreb with breathtaking view our house is a perfect place for weekend retreat and stress realease.
The location and tranquillity of its setting in this time of the year is ideal for soaking up the warm autumn atmosphere with fall colors bursting and looking just spectacular.
